Pair sailing course

Group sailing courses typically accommodate larger groups, so the practice time per person is drastically reduced.

The Pair sailing course is available exclusively at WindWorks, the essence of which is that we prepare our students for the beginner sailing small boat and small engine boat driving exam, based on the beginner course, at any time chosen by the company. Come with your friend, partner and you don’t have to adapt to the group, but we adapt to your schedule.

During the pair sailing course, 1 instructor will work with you separately, and only the instructor and you will be on the boat. The recommended training time is therefore 4 days.

Being a beginner course, the course consists of 2 parts. Choosing both parts together is not mandatory, it is possible to get a license for a sailing boat only, but then you will have to face significant restrictions in operating the boat’s engine:

• Small boat driver training: This license is required if you use an engine with a power of at least 14.7 kW on your boat. With this license, you can drive a boat with a maximum length of 20 meters and a capacity of 12 people, with a power of at least 14.7 kW, without an upper horsepower limit.
  This is not only necessary on boats in the Balaton because of the port maneuvers, but you can also drive a motorboat/jet-ski on rivers with it.

• Small sailboat driver training: This license authorizes you to drive a boat with a maximum length of 20 meters and a capacity of 12 people.

After the pair sailing course, it is possible to take an remote exam at the times listed in the table below. The essence of this is that the candidate writes their theoretical exam in the sailing school classroom and takes the practical exam on their well-known training boats.

The venue for our sailboat and small motorboat courses is the Ypsilon Yacht Club in Alsóörs, which is the newest and most modern marina on Lake Balaton. You can find the port at 8226 Alsóörs, 990/96. hrsz.

At times chosen by the student. The teaching days do not have to be consecutive days.

The price of the pair sailing course (including motorboat training with an electric boat): instead of 299,000 HUF / person, only 215,000 HUF / person, so a total of 430,000 HUF for the two of you, which includes the tuition and administration fees without hidden costs, but does not include the official fees payable to the Transport Aptitude and Examination Center.
