The essence of our individual sailing course is that, following the model of the beginner course, we prepare our student for the beginner sailing boat and small motorboat driving exam at the times chosen by the student.
During the individual sailing course, the student is dealt with separately by 1 instructor, and only the instructor and the student are on the boat. The recommended training time is therefore 4 days (depending on the individual).
Being a beginner course, the course consists of 2 parts. Choosing both parts together is not mandatory, it is possible to get a license for a sailing boat only, but then you will have to face significant restrictions in operating the boat’s engine:
- Small motorboat driving training: This license is required if you use an engine with at least 7.5 kW of power on your boat. With this license, you can drive a boat with a maximum length of 20 meters and a capacity of 12 people, with a power of at least 7.5 kW, without an upper horsepower limit.
This is not only necessary on boats in the Balaton area due to port maneuvers, but it also allows you to drive a motorboat/jet ski on rivers. - Small sailing boat driver training: This license authorizes you to drive a boat with a maximum length of 20 meters and a capacity of 12 people.
After the individual sailing course, it is possible to take an remote exam at the times listed in the table below. The essence of this is that the candidate writes his theoretical exam in the sailing school classroom and takes the practical exam on their well-known training boats.
The venue for our sailing and small boating courses is the Ypsilon Yacht Club in Alsóörs, which is the newest and most modern marina on Lake Balaton. You can find the marina at 8226 Alsóörs, 990/96. hrsz.
You choose the dates of the individual course, and we will hold the training when it suits you (based on prior agreement). The training days do not have to be consecutive days.
The individual course fee is 120,000 HUF / day, which includes the tuition fee, but does not include the official fees payable to the Driving Fitness and Examination Center. Optionally, you can also choose the following:
- Motorboat supplement: 35,000 HUF
- International (sea) extension: 50,000 HUF

Official fees, which are payable to the Transportation Fitness and Examination Center in addition to the price of the beginner sailing course:*

*After a successful sailing exam and/or small boat driving exam, the issuance fee for a card-format, internationally recognized sailing and/or small boat (motorboat) driving license is 16,100.-Ft, which is payable to the Traffic Fitness and Examination Center at the same time as the exam fees.
The theoretical course takes place online, via the Zoom platform.
The location of the theoretical exam must be one of the national branches of the Transport Aptitude and Examination Center (KAV), so it is possible to take the theoretical exam in Budapest, Siófok, Mohács, Komárom, Miskolc or Győr. A successful theoretical exam is a prerequisite for the subsequent practical exam.

How many people can study at the same time?
