The Hungarian Class IV Marine License is the most obvious and easiest way to get an entry-level internationally recognized marine license. If you want to drive a motorboat, sail a boat or even jet ski at sea, then this license is the one for you.
Moreover, you don’t even have to leave Hungary to get it, if you already have an inland waterway license, you only have to pass a 20-question theory test. Don’t worry, if you don’t have an inland navigation license yet, you can complete it at the same time as our inland navigation courses!
This is the easiest and fastest maritime license you can obtain!
The license you obtain entitles you to drive internationally valid sailing and motorized boats up to 24 meters in length. The license has a territorial limitation, so with this license you can travel 3 nautical miles (approx. 5.5 km) from the coast with the boat you are driving.
Our beginner's maritime course and exam process:
- On the designated course day (typically Friday or Sunday), the training lasts from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the latest. You can take part in the training online (you will listen to a live lecture, it is easy to join wherever you are, you only need internet) or you can come to the training in person
- You submit the materials required for the exam application (application form, medical certificate, ID cards, school qualifications, exam fee payment receipt, previous inland waterway qualification)
- You will take a theoretical exam on the exam date of your choice. Of course, we will handle the exam application, you just have to prepare. In the theoretical exam, you must successfully pass a test consisting of 20 questions, the 20 questions are selected by the Examination Center from a database of 155 questions in total.
