The helm course is for those who already have a license and want to use it on a larger, more serious boat. If you want to rent a sailboat, if you are thinking about longer tours, or if you just want to be more confident in foreign ports – you will need these two days.
On the first day we sail to Balatonföldvár or Badacsony (depending on the wind), where we practice mooring maneuvers in a foreign port. On the way back we arrive at our home port after dark – night sailing is also part of the curriculum. The boat is a 30-foot, circular-rudder yacht.

Is prior training required?
Yes, a valid inland navigation license is required.
What is a circular rudder ship and how is it different?
Almost all larger sailboats for rent have a circular steering wheel – their handling and maneuvering are different from traditional pole-driven boats.
Can we get somewhere for the night?
No, we arrive back at the same port, but after dark – this gives you the experience of night sailing.
Can I pay with a SZÉP card?
Yes, you can also pay with OTP, MKB and KH SZÉP cards.
